If it’s Lasting Happiness You’re After, a Book isn’t going to Cut It

Even with the best self-help book, lasting happiness is not easy to achieve. The New Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz and Dan Kennedy, it’s too easy to give up on the system it advocates.

Maybe you are not motivated enough, too stressed out, or too busy to focus. What about when it get’s uncomfortable? A book cannot help you figure out why you did not begin or continue to work with its system. It can’t do that because it does not interface with your unconscious mind and your emotions, which are the real basis for your behavior. Books can only help you with rational, conscious, logical thought processes. They can never provide a way for you to commit to what you say you want.
